Recognizing the Symptoms of Hypertension
Hypertension occurs for many reasons. Blood pressure that is on the high side is the same thing as hypertension. When a person experiences hypertension, there are many complications that can occur. This is why it is especially important to recognize the symptoms of hypertension. Here, you will find many symptoms that may occur as a result of hypertension, or blood pressure that is high.
One of the first symptoms that a person with hypertension may experience is a headache. Many times, when a person experiences hypertension, they will often get a headache because of the pressure within the walls of the arteries of the body. If you, or a loved one, is experiencing a lot of severe headaches, it is important to see a doctor to get that checked. If it is not a result of hypertension, it could be a result of another serious medical condition.
The following lists some other common symptoms that are associated with hypertension:
1) A person with hypertension may experience issues with their vision. These issues may include blurred vision, impaired vision, and more. If these are experienced, a person should see their doctor for a referral for a vision test and other testing as soon as possible. 2) If a person is suspected of having hypertension, they may experience the symptom of being extremely exhausted. They may tire out easily, or seem tired all the time. They may complain of never having the energy that is required to perform daily activities. 3) If a person has hypertension, they may experience the symptom of breathing difficulties. They may have issues breathing whether they are engaging in activities or not engaging in activities. If this symptom is experienced, the person should meet with their doctor for further testing to conclude a diagnosis. 4) A person who has hypertension may display a quick temper, or they may seem awfully moody. If this is new and unusual behavior for this person, they should visit their doctor as soon as possible. 5) If a person seems anxious, or stressed out, and cannot seem to cope with things as easily as they once did, it is important that they get tested for hypertension. This is one of the first symptoms associated with a person who has blood pressure on the high side. It is important to get tested and have a doctor involved at this point. 6) If a person has unhealthy habits, such as smoking, it may be that hypertension will develop in this person. People who ingest a lot of foods that have high levels of fat and cholesterol may also develop hypertension. Of course, people who are overweight may experience hypertension as well. If a person fits any of these areas, they should make an appointment to get tested for hypertension as soon as possible.
